JDHS Dance Team Coaching Staff

This is Kayla's first year as head coach following two years as assistant coach and three years on the team. She competed with the team at UDA Nationals in Florida in 1999 & 2000 and with the University of Oregon at NDA College Nationals in 2003. She studied dance for twelve years and teaches classes with Janice D. Holst. Kayla is committed to the tradition of excellence for the JDHS dance team.

This is Leeann's second season as an Assistant Coach for the JDHS Dance Team, but Leeann's history with the team goes back many years. Leeann was the Team Manager for 3 years, attending National competition in Long Beach, California in 1997 where the team took home 1st place trophies in both of the categories that they competed in. She graduated from JDHS in 1999. While on the team, Leeann worked closely with the team members, team officers, and especially with the Coaches. Because of her tenure with the team, she was given responsibilities rarely given to other team managers. This included close involvement with team finances as well as learning how to clean and perfect choreography so that routines were "ready for performance".

This is Mikaela's first season as assistant coach and brings her energy and experience to this year's team. Mikaela is a veteran of the JDHS dance team, graduating in 2004.
